week 7

The last class the last groups that had no presented the oral project have to presented today, me and my group included, unfortunately, fearing that I will forget my lines I decided to read my lines, and again unfortunately I forget that the exposition was an oral exercise so I failed from that point of view, we have a quiz of the “ghost stories” 

text like always, and like always the story wasn’t so good, the history about a men who lived in the mountains and wanted to help the missed travelers but the road was destroyed by a landslide and the travelers ended died don’t call my attention, it would be better if the story were about an evil ghost or at least the mist were more terrifying but anyway, there is no such thing as a perfect story, besides, there will be much more stories to read in the future, the secret is to be persistent and never get tired of read and improve.                            >the atmosphere that should have the story ⬆

week 6

The last class we learn about rules of some adjectives and adverbs like good/well, but this time we did not have to expose, only read about it and explained how the rule works, is only a matter of practice to use well the adjective and the adverb form of some expressions, like for example, she use well the forms of well/good, because she is a good student, that was a sinple example, but that will be fully explained at the audio, another thing that happened was the quiz about the ghost stories, the second story was about a student that travel to a small town searching stillness to study, and like the previous story there was inconsistences, like for example, why the people of the town decided to go to the house when all the story was ending? The bell was ringing since the start of the final part, and if was because of the rain why they can hear it at the end? Why john moore (the protagonist) don’t jump out the window, why he doesn’t use the bible of his grandmother to fight? well I know that is only a tale and should not be taken seriously but I only said that story is as coherent as the story of a group of persons all over 17, some of them with children, that decided that would be fun play hide and seek and suddenly one of them fell by a staircase and broke her neck, just say.

week 5

the class was challenging, we had to hear an audio with connective speech, ever with the book was hard to follow the beat, but lucky the teacher repeat the audio several times until we can make it, and after that we had two test, one about the ghost stories, the story was good, the only thing that I didn’t understand is how a group of all grown-up mans the youngest with seventeen years old decide to spend time playing hide and seek, after we have the oral projects, the last ones were very funny, they try to flirt in a slyly but they didn’t make it was evident and we all laugh, the homework is to recod a tongue twister, I hope to do my best, was a very interesting class, until next time.

week 4

the tipic of the week was the comparisons, basically there are tree forms of comparison: positive, comparative and superlative, the way of use each one depends of the situation and the level of seriousness of the description, for example is not the same “Anne more responsible than Marie” and “Anne is a whole lot more responsible than Marie” the differences and the different levels reminds me the Japanese culture, you don’t treat the same way someone that you just meet and someone that you already know for a while. Later the teacher remind us the importance of keep doing the exercises of the platform and the read of the of the ghost stories, it would be fun to wait until late at night to make the proper atmosphere and make the stories more interesting but my weak vision don’t allow me, after ten of night I can barely see the hour.

week 3

The last class, third week of learning, we studied some grammar tenses as like the present perfect simple and the present perfect continuous, the exercise of writing 5 phrases of each one required express an idea in English, that taught me that I still have to practice my English reasoning, that’s because think in English is a very important part of the learning process, and the reason is that we students are used to traduce English and we are good on it, but at the time of think in English and construct words we require perseverance and study four ourselves that types of failures

week 2

In the second class we have several activities, like the reading about the people and the different ways of how they interact, after that we hear some audios like the conversation of two womans that meet in a Spanish class, one of them was teacher in the past and the other tell her that she hadn’t patiet for kids, the other audio was about the largest family of jugglers in the world, It turns out that the father was bored one day and  he decide to teach himself to juggle with a book, the next activity was about find the mistakes in some phrases, and we also discuss about the uses of the modal verbs, was interesting and  learn a couple of things too.

week 1

In the Saturday 29 first day of class the introduction includes the themes that we are going to see along the bimester, including duties and future projects like the creation of this blog, also there were presentation of the students to his partners and there was a reading of the book “ghost stories”, and the class began, I think that is a good way to improve you pronunciation because you have to focus in reading well and combat your nerves at the same time, after the proof of pronunciation the students learn about the grammar tenses like the past perfect, the future continuous,  the present simple among others. Even if I miss that class I’m going to study this topics, that was the summary, and have a good day.

Good morning my name is jhonatan matta, I’m 23 years old, student of industrial engineering, and currently coursing seven semester, I’m studying English for my career and for travel someday, I’ll be posting in this space all the topics related with the class like themes and opinions, I go walking to the INEM every Saturday to study, currently don’t have a job and want to focus in my studies of English and homework of the university, I hope learn a lot of English and also want to use the time in the most efficient way possible, so, welcome to my blog, let’s begin to study English.
